Newly crowned London 2017 world long jump silver and bronze medallists Jarrion Lawson and Ruswahl Samaai, will go head-to head again at the Müller Grand Prix Birmingham on Sunday 20 August.
The pair will also take on Rio Olympic champion Jeff Henderson, who was victorious at the Müller Anniversary Games in July.
Lawson, who finished fourth at the Olympic Games in Rio twelve months ago, took the silver in the London Stadium last night with a season’s best of 8.44m, while Samaai secured the bronze with a distance of 8.32m.
Samaai said: “I’ve really enjoyed competing in the UK at the World Championships, and to wrap up my summer over here at the Müller Grand Prix Birmingham, after winning a bronze medal in London, will be fantastic.
“I got so much support from the British crowd in London and I believe the fans in Birmingham are great too, so I’m looking forward to jumping well at the Alexander Stadium on 20 August.”
A host of Olympic and world medallists will compete at the prestigious IAAF Diamond League meeting, which will be the culmination of an outstanding summer of global athletics events in the UK and include Mo Farah’s last ever track race on home soil.
World 100m finalist Reece Prescod (coach: Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo), will line up against Britain’s fastest men over 100m at the Müller Grand Prix Birmingham.
The British 100m champion clocked 10.17 seconds to finish seventh in the world 100m final in the London Stadium last night, after setting a personal best of 10.03 in the heats on Friday.
Prescod will race against former European 200m champion Adam Gemili (Rana Reider), European 4x100m relay gold medallist CJ Ujah (Stuart McMillan), who narrowly missed out on a place in the world final, and former 100m European champion James Dasaolu (Lloyd Cowan), at the Alexander Stadium.
Prescodsaid: “The Müller Grand Prix Birmingham will be a homecoming party for many of the British athletes who competed at the World Championships and the atmosphere will be great.
“Having so many big meets on home soil this year as has been really amazing and I know there’ll be some good races at this final event of the UK season."
Prescod added: “Watching Mo Farah’s last ever UK track race will also be a big moment for all of us.”
