Müller Grand Prix Birmingham
The Müller Grand Prix Birmingham is an annual meeting which serves as one of the 14 IAAF Diamond League meetings.
A meeting that has, and continues to attract the biggest names in athletics from across the globe, Birmingham typically serves as the final 'non-final' on the Diamond League tour as athletes look to bank all-important points in order to confirm their spot at the two final meetings in Zurich and Brussels.
2018: A Re-cap...
In 2018, 19 newly crowned European champions were in action in Birmingham along with the best international stars, including 10 reigning world champions and six Olympic champions.
400m Olympic champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo set a new meeting record in the women's 200m, edging triple European champion Dina Asher-Smith to victory. Emmanuel Korir powered to victory in the men's 800m, setting a new meeting record in the process.
Newly crowned European champion Malaika Mihambo broke the meeting record in the women's long jump, while world and Commonwealth champion Luvo Manyonga did the same in the men's equivalent.
In a thrilling finale to the meet, 60m world record holder Christian Coleman was victorious in the men's 100m, beating Great Britain and Northern Ireland's Reece Prescod by 0.001 seconds.
Overall an unforgettable Diamond League meeting played host to four meeting records and two national records.
